HOW WSANA WAS FOUNDED

In 2001 Mr. Joel Sheffel, the founder and now the Executive Director of WSANA, with the help of a Center for Independent Living reintergrated back into the community after being in a nursing home for over 18 months. Mr. Sheffel was appaled at the lack of information for individuals who either live in the community or are entering the community to make them aware of services, programs and changes in laws which will allow them to be independent.
